Poverty and education

The laws of  Brazil guarantee the access to education but they aren enforced. We have schools with unprepared teachers  that  receive bad salaries. The goverment doesn't make good investiments in the education. For this reason, we have many problems with people not prepared to the  workmarket. Illiteracy  has been a problem even for the goverment to take a loan foreign banks .

The country that wants to  develop needs  to invest in education. Development and education walk together  when we talk about the development of a country. Our country needs to learn this lesson.  Education represents a possibility of a better life to our citizens and to our country.

Families that have a good condition have  to put their children in private schools since public schools are abandoned by the goverment.  in search for a good education people

Dear Janilde:
I think there are good and bad teachers everywhere, private and public schools. But the silent work of many dreamers are making the difference. I know teachers who go beyond the hours paid (badly paid) at school, working hard, trying to involve and inspire their students (hard work).
Families sometimes don't put limits to their kids and they don't want to worry of education. It isn't just a matter of school subjects. It's teaching them to be better. School can't do miracles without the families

Hi Janilde,
I am Berta, in Caracas, a colleague of Jose Antonio.
You are so right in what you are saying about education and poverty. Literacy and education are the key to making our societies progress. Here in Venezuela everything has been "infected" by politics and government prefer to have illiterate people, ignorants who will depend on what they will receive as pay for doing nothing, especially in the last years.
Many teachers are not well prepared because they themselves cannot invest in their own education to improve their practice because they earn so little.
Let´s hope this situation changes in the very near future.
Cheers, Berta

Dear Janilde,
You choose the same title that me. I'm very worried about the future of our children, they are really in trouble if they depend of the government. Nowadays if we couldn't to pay a private school for our children they probably won't have a success future.
All the best

Hello Marina . I loved that you have read my composition. At first , the goverment needs to invest in the teachers. It should offer to the teachers masters in great universities preparing them to receive good salaries.Illiteacy has been a problem that will be solved with investiments.
Thanks very much.
